The family and friends of David Crook are mourning the death of a beloved son, brother, nephew, grandson, and friend. David passed away in his sleep on May 24 while pursuing his dream of a summer in Alaska. David approached life with a fearlessness and passion that filled us with awe. He was intelligent and caring, always seeking new adventures. He loved sports, his dogs, and the company of friends and family.
David possessed a sweet and gentle soul that bathed others in its light and he sought to make authentic human connections wherever he went. He made us laugh and cry, often both at the same time, and was a source of pure delight. Our lives will be a little less bright without the warmth of his smile.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at the Park City Community Church at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 30. Please bring a picture of David as you remember him and a story to share. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Humane Society of Utah.
