Disney production filming on Main Street

Jay Hamburger THE PARK RECORD

A movie crew will be filming on Wednesday in Old Town, but City Hall does not anticipate the work will be disruptive.

Tommy Youngblood, a City Hall official who was heavily involved in the permitting, said some of the filming is planned on Park Avenue between Heber Avenue and 9th Street. The filming will be on the sidewalk, but Youngblood said there could be a traffic delay of up to 15 minutes sometime between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.

There will also be filming on Main Street, where a building on the west side of the street will be the focus. Youngblood said the filming will not require the street to be partially closed or a closure of the sidewalk. Five parking spaces will be used by the crew, though.

Youngblood said the filming is for a Disney production, perhaps a television movie.
