Dolly’s Bookstore events complements Film Festival week

When Film Festival week hits Park City, Dolly’s Bookstore, located at 510 Main St., is right in the thick of it all.

Over the years, it has found a way to join the celebration by offering unique book signing events with writers and photographers who have entertainment industry ties, said Dolly’s Bookstore manager Sue Fassett. (See story titled "Dolly’s Bookstore events")

"We always want to tie our schedule into the festival," Fassett said. "This year, we have quite a few of these artists scheduled for events."

In addition to entertainment-industry attorneys and consultants, the Dolly’s also books people who work on the front lines of the entertainment industry as well, Fassett said.

"All the books and authors we showcase have a film or entertainment connection," Fassett said. "When I order our books, I always ask the publishing representatives if there are any with film-industry ties, and sometimes an agent of publicist will get a hold of me to see if we have a day or night open."

One of the perks of these types of events is getting to interact with these interesting people, Fassett said.

"I love meeting fantastically interesting people who do amazing things," she said.
