Drugs seized in No. Summit

Patrick Parkinson, Of the Record staff

Deputies seized methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia when a house was raided Tuesday night in Coalville.

A search warrant served Feb. 27 at 119 S. 50 West resulted in the arrests of two men in Coalville, authorities say.

Both suspects were booked into the Summit County Jail for felony and misdemeanor charges of possession of controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.

Those accused of crimes aren’t normally named in The Park Record until formal charges are filed.

Four other adults who were inside the home were charged with misdemeanors by BackNET, which is a drug enforcement task force that serves Summit and Wasatch counties comprised of deputies and officers from the Heber and Park City police departments.

"The search warrant was obtained after the task force received credible information about drug usage at the address," a Summit County Sheriff’s Office press release states.
