Dump truck trailer overturns in Old Town

A dump truck trailer overturned in upper Old Town Wednesday morning, creating a mess of dirt on a street and temporarily shutting down crews remodeling a house at 60 Sampson Ave.

The Park City Police Department said the dump truck was descending King Road and was making a hairpin turn at the Ridge Avenue intersection. The load shifted, tipping over the trailer, the police said.

The accident occurred at about 8 a.m.

The police did not immediately issue a ticket, but investigators continued to probe the accident. A police officer and a Building Department official were at the scene.
