As of 9 p.m. a preliminary tally of ballots cast during early voting and absentee ballots showed Andy Beerman in the lead in the Park City Council race. Here is the tally so far:

  • Andy Beerman – 438
  • Nann Worel – 396
  • Rory Murphy – 275
  • Hope Melville – 267
  • Becca Gerber – 250
  • Dan Portwood – 99

    Among early and absentee voters, the $56 million Park City school bond was trailing with 552 votes in favor and 1,059 against.

    Today’s ballots have not yet been counted.

    Arlene Loble served as the Park City manager in the 1980s, a pivotal period that prepared the community for the boom years that would follow in the 1990s. Loble, who recently died, is credited with introducing a level of professionalism to the municipal government that was needed amid the growth challenges.
