East Side candidates trickle in on last day of filing
Oakley and Coalville will see primary races

On the final day of filing to run in November's municipal elections, several new candidates trickled in on the East Side, triggering primary runoffs in Coalville, and Oakley.
The mayor's post and two council seats are up for election in each town. The filing window to be included on the official ballots closed Wednesday at 5 p.m.
As of late Wednesday afternoon the following citizens had filed:
For mayor: Trever Johnson, Tyler Rowser, Merlyn Johnson
For council: Rodney Robbins, Cody Blonquist, Suzanne Boyer
For mayor: Kevan Todd, Matt McCormick
For council: Kim Steed, Amy Yost, Garry Walker
For mayor: Kay Richins
For council: Detton Fawcett, Richard Butler, Matt Shill

Due to the number of candidates who filed, there will be a mayoral primary in Coalville to reduce the field to two. There will also be a runoff in the Oakley Town Council race to reduce the number of candidates from seven to four.
