East Side men face sex charges

Two men from eastern Summit County face charges for unlawful sexual activity with a minor after they engaged in sex at a Coalville hotel with two 14-year-old girls, charging documents state.
Oakley resident Trent D. Lott, 20, and Coalville resident Weston Hortin, 21, are charged with one count each of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, which are third-degree felonies.
On Monday, Lott and Hortin made initial appearances in 3rd District Court in the Snyderville Basin.
Judge Bruce Lubeck scheduled roll call hearings for the men May 4 at 8:30 a.m.
The crimes occurred at Best Western Holiday Hills at 200 S. 500 West in Coalville, according to court filings.
Lott provided alcohol to two 14-year-olds inside a room at the hotel, charging documents state.
