Girl Scouts invite new members to join

Girls ages 5-17 along with their families are invited to a Girl Scout get-together on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 3-4 p.m. at the Summit County Library, 6505 N. Landmark Dr., Park City. For more information call Lynda Larsen at (801) 265-8472 ext. 28, or visit http://www.gsutah.org.

Kimball art classes

Kimball Art Center, at 638 Park Ave., will begin both kids’ and adults’ art classes early in November. Kids’ classes will include: Everything Origami, Pop-Ups and Paper Sculpture, Drawing and Painting l and 2. Adult classes will be held in Oil Painting and Ceramics: Building on the Basics. Renewable EnergyConference

The Uinta Headwaters Resource Conservation and Development Council is sponsoring a renewable energy conference on Nov. 10, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Park City Marriot, 1895 Sidewinder Drive. The conference is open to the public, and includes presentations on solar power, biodiesel, hydrogen technology, wind power, biomass, methane capture, and farm energy improvement.
