The registration deadline for the April 4 ACT test is Feb. 27. Late registration is available Feb. 28 – March 13 for an extra fee. Students may register online at http://www.actstudent.org, or pick up registration forms from the PCHS counseling office. The cost is $31 for the traditional ACT test and $46 for the ACT Plus Writing. Students should determine beforehand whether colleges and universities they are considering require the optional writing score. A list of schools that require the writing test can be found at http://www.actstudent.org/writing . The ACT website, http://www.actstudent.org, has helpful information, free sample tests and inexpensive test prep materials.

Community Education Kindergarten Program

In the fall of 2009-10, the Park City School District will offer an optional Community Education afternoon kindergarten program at Parley’s Park, Jeremy Ranch and Trailside Elementary Schools. There are 15 spaces available to the community at each school for enrollment on a tuition basis with a minimum of 10 in order to run the program. The cost is $3900 per year, payable in two equal payments in August and January. Those who are eligible for free or reduced lunch may be eligible for a reduced fee. Application packets to enroll in the program will be available at schools and on the web. The registration period begins Feb. 23.
