Fiesta de Mayo at McPolin

Come celebrate the diversity of McPolin students and their families. The school will host a Cinco de Mayo fiesta Tuesday, May 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. featuring music, dancing, crafts and authentic Mexican food. The cost is $5 per person. If you would like to donate candy for the pinatas or bring a traditional Mexican dish, please contact Melissa Bott at or 645-5630.

Gifted & Talented meeting

The Summit Association for Gifted and High Ability Children (SAGHAC) will hold its initial organizational and membership meeting Thursday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Snyderville Basin Recreation District Office (across from Trailside Elementary School). Sheri Sorensen, president of the Utah Association of Gifted Children, will make a presentation. SAGHAC is a partnership of teachers, parents and administrators with the goal of raising awareness about issues surrounding gifted and high ability students.

Summer community education
