Sixteen students from the Treasure Mountain Student Council will be holding a bake sale at Wal-Mart on Dec. 9. The time has been changed to 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The sale will feature home-baked cookies, recipes, bake sets (a baking kit including dough) and cakes. Wal-Mart has offered to match the funds raised. The proceeds will go toward Treasure Mountain Activities.
Holiday Splash Camp
South Summit Aquatic & Fitness Center is sponsoring a fun camp for kids 6-12, during which they will make crafts, play games and receive swim lessons. Children will be placed in groups based on their swimming abilities. Class days are Dec. 27-29, 9 a.m.-noon. The cost is $18 per child. Registration takes place at the front desk from Dec. 11-23. Food Bank Donations
Smith’s Food and Drug Stores is sponsoring donations to local food banks during the holiday season. Smith’s offers a "gift bag," donation of 13 canned food items worth $1for a cost of $7, or, a turkey can be purchased for the food bank for $ 10. The program is available at the Park City Smith’s at 1725 Uinta Way, through Dec. 16.
Park City, Summit County Councils to hear update on Kimball Junction environmental impact report
The Community Foundation will present on eliminating food waste from Summit County landfills by 2030.
