YOUTH FOOTBALL REGISTRATION OPEN

Registration is open for Park City Miners Fall Youth Football for students ages 8 to 14. Practices start July 28. The cost is $265, and includes two jerseys and rental of all protective equipment, a helmet and pads. Students are eligible for scholarships. PARKITE EARNS BACHELORS FROM NYU

Park City Resident Scott Harriman Henney graduated Summa Cum Laude from New York University in May. Henney earned a Bachelor of Science degree and honors in Philosophy. Henney attended McPolin Elementary School and The Colby School in Park City, St. George’s School in Rhode Island, and Carlbrook School in Virginia. Henney is planning to move to St. Petersburg, Russia where he will teach English for Language Link.

PARK CITY RESIDENT GRADUATES WITH SOCIOLOGY DEGREE

Daniel Guiney, of Park City, graduated from the University of New Hampshire during the commencement ceremony held earlier this month. Guiney earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

REQUIRED SUMMER READING FOR PCHS STUDENTS

Park City High School students are required to read "Ghosts of War: The True Story of a 19-Year-Old GI" by Ryan Smithson. The summer reading requirement includes incoming sophomores at the high school. The book is available at Dolly’s Bookstore, located on 510 Main Street, for $8.60.
