On April 18, 138 students from 14 high schools competed in the Northeaster Regional Deseret Morning News/KSL Television Sterling Scholar Competition.

Winners received $500 and runners-up received $300, both received scholarships to local colleges and universities.

Park City High School had one winner, Angela Van Atta who competed in math. The following students were runners-up: Tyler Anderson (Social Science), Paul Madsen (Speech and Drama), Valerie Coleman (Foreign Language), Austin Warner (Visual Arts) and Jayci Robb (General Scholarship).

The following students from North Summit High School were runners-up: Matt Polichette (Math), Shawn Lewis (English) and Aubrey Resse (Family and Consumer Science).

The following students from South Summit High School were runners-up: Naomi Anderson (Social Science), Makayla Herbert (Dance), Amanda Lee (Foreign Language), Kelli McEwan (Visual Arts) and Timothy Butler, (Family and Consumer Science).

Park City Cooperative Preschool

The Park City Cooperative Preschool has availability in the following Summer Camps: Creepy, Crawly Bugs, June 26-29; Pee Wee Picassos, July 3-6; Water, Water Everywhere, July 10-13; Mini Musicians, July 24-27; Tie Dye Mania July 31-August 3; and Water, Water Everywhere #2, August 7-10

Camps run Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-12:45pm and are $100 each. For more information contact LeeAnne @ 655-2701
