Megan Warren graduates from U.C. Berkeley

Megan Warren received a bachelor of science degree in environmental science from the College of Natural Resources at the University of California Berkeley, May 20. Warren is working this summer as an AmeriCorps volunteer with the Youth Garden Project in Moab. She will leave for Latin America in September as a Peace Corps volunteer, where she will teach environmental science. She is a 2003 graduate of Park City High School. She is the daughter of Larry Warren and Carol Murphy, of Park City and Midway.

Park City Alumni Graduates from Pepperdine Law School

Court Klekas II, the son of Susan and Court Klekas of Park City, was awarded the Juris Doctor Degree from Pepperdine University on May 18, 2007. He plans to take the California Bar Exam at the end of July and then return to Utah to take the Utah Bar Exam. Klekas graduated from Park City High School in 2000 and received his bachelor of science degree in economics from the University of Utah in 2004.

Degree in Biotechnology Offered at UVSC

Utah Valley State College is offering a bachelor of science degree in biotechnology leading to careers in research, development, quality control and manufacturing in fields such as genetic engineering, medicine, agriculture and forensics. UVSC’s program will be laboratory-intensive and will give students hands-on experience in preparing them for the growing biotechnology industry in Utah. With this approval, UVSC is the only institution in the Utah System of Higher Education with a baccalaureate program in biotechnology.
