The Park City School Board is meeting on Sept. 5 at 5 p.m. They will discuss Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification for Park City High School, electronic meetings and hear requests for proposals for the following: bus body repair and painting/refinishing, snow removal and the gym floor tile at the Aquatic Center.

The board will hear reports on school improvement plans for Parley’s Park and Jeremy Ranch, and update on high school construction, the alternative education committee, Park City High School test results, staffing and enrollment.

No school

Park City School District, North Summit School District and South Summit School District will all be closed on Sept. 4 for Labor Day.

Preschool fundraiser

Park City Cooperative Preschool will host its annual garage sale fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. to noon at 772 River Birch Court in Park Meadows. More than 30 families are expected to participate, donating kid stuff, baby gear, furniture, toys, clothes and sports equipment. All proceeds will benefit the school, which is a local, non-profit organization dedicated to offering an affordable quality preschool experience and incorporating parental involvement since 1987.
