Annual Park Record Spelling Bee in May

The 8th annual Park Record Spelling Bee is scheduled to be held Tuesday, May 13, at the Egyptian Theater on Main Street. Students can qualify for the spelling bee by taking a written exam open to students in Summit and Wasatch Counties. The qualification test will be administered with no previous exposure to the word list and will be given at the test centers below on Wednesday, April 23, at several different test centers listed below. Students who are eligible to participate must live or go to school in Summit or Wasatch County. The top 20-25 scorers in each qualification exam will be invited to participate in the Park Record Spelling Bee.

Spelling Bee Qualification Exam Centers on Wednesday, April 23:

2nd/3rd, 4th/5th grades:

  • McPolin Elementary School, 3:15 p.m.
  • Parley’s Park Elementary School, 3:15 p.m.
  • Trailside Elementary School, 3:15 p.m.
  • Jeremy Ranch Elementary School, 3:15 PM

    2nd/3rd, 4th/5th, 6th/7th grades:

  • North Summit Middle School, 2:30 p.m.
  • Old Mill Elementary School, 3:45 p.m.
  • Park City Day School, 3:45 p.m.
  • North Summit Elementary School, 2:15 p.m.
  • South Summit Elementary School, 8:00 a.m.
  • Weilenmann School, 3:15 p.m.

    6th/7th grade:

  • Ecker Hill International Middle School, 8:00 a.m.
