Shining Stars raises over $11,000
The Shining Stars School 2014 Dollar Drive fundraiser resulted in $11,415.75 in donations over the course of 30 days. The fundraiser was held to benefit Shining Stars move to its new location at Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church at 4051 Utah S.R. 224.
Throughout the 30 days the drive was held, an online video campaign involved family and friends from across the country. For more information and to watch the videos, visit http://www.shiningstarsparkcity.org/fundraising/.
Trailside Talent Show auditions
Trailside Elementary School is scheduled to hold its annual Talent Show on Monday, June 2. Auditions for fourth-graders will be held Tuesday, April 29, and fifth-graders will audition on Wednesday, April 30, both at 3:15 p.m.
The room where auditions will be held has yet to be determined. Students are required to take a copy of the music they will be using for the audition, and all clothes and dances must be modest and appropriate. Acts can be no longer than 90 seconds long.

Teen Sexuality series at PHC
The People’s Health Clinic will host a series of classes about physical and sexual development for young women ages 9-18 and their mothers. "Linking Lives: Mothers and Daughters" will begin Tuesday, April 22, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the clinic at 650 Round Valley Dr.
The series will be held in the same place at the same time on Tuesday, April 29, and Tuesday, May 6. All sessions are free, offered in both Spanish and English and include a light dinner.
