Wells Fargo to host Student Financial Education Day
According to Mark G. Chapman, Utah Regional Banking Communications for Wells Fargo, the bank will host a Student Financial Education Day at all of its Utah locations on Saturday, Sept. 21, to promote its Hands on Banking program, available online at http://www.handsonbanking.org.
The purpose of the event is to help educate students and their parents about the importance of money management, establishing credit and preparing to pay for college. The program teaches parents and students how to use spending plans, protect against identity theft and use credit wisely to build a good credit score and avoid debt. Ecker Hill to hold evacuation drill
Ecker Hill Middle School will be conducting an emergency reunification drill on Friday, Sept. 27, from 12 to 1:35 p.m. Students will practice evacuating the building, reunifying in a central location (behind the LDS Church on Kilby Road), and being released to a parent or guardian.
The purpose of the exercise is to practice and evaluate the procedures in place for an emergency event. For more information concerning the exercise, contact John Hall, Assistant Principal at EHMS, at 645-5610.

Shining Stars hosted successful fundraiser
According to a press release, the Shining Stars School, a cooperative educational experience and non-profit school in Park City, had a great turn-out of eager putters at the Canyons Resort and mini-golf course on Sunday, Sept. 15.
