Jeremy Ranch to host Back to School Night

Jeremy Ranch Elementary will hold a "Back to School Night" on Thursday, Aug. 29. Teachers for grades 1-5 welcome parents to meet them and see what they can expect their children to be learning during the 2013-14 school year.

Soaring Wings to hold fall workshop

Duna Strachan, Director of Education at Soaring Wings Montessori School, announced that the school will be hosting renowned child psychologist Dr. Joann Deak on Sept. 28.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the original Soaring Wings location at 1255 Park Avenue. Deak’s discussion will be "Confident and Courageous Children." The deadline for registration is Sept. 6. For more information, contact Strachan at 435-649-3626.

PTO sponsors "Ecker Extravaganza"

The Ecker Hill Middle School PTO will sponsor its first annual "Ecker Extravaganza" carnival on Friday, Sept. 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. There will be carnival attractions, games and food available for students who purchase tickets.

Tickets will be sold Sept. 3-5 during lunch, and the price of tickets will vary from $1 to for four tickets and $11 for a wristband and 20 tickets. Volunteers are still needed.
