Edward Pouquette

Edward Pouquette, beloved father and grandfather, passed away quietly on July 27, 2010, in Park City at the home of his son Ed Pouquette Jr.

Edward was born on July 22, 1918, in San Francisco and lived in the Bay Area for many years. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II and had some wild stories that he loved to recount about his adventures all over the world. Edward lived in Park City from 1966 to 1969, where he owned and operated a restaurant on Main Street while also working for Treasure Mountain (now Park City Mountain Resort). He returned to the Bay Area and lived there until moving to Bozeman, Mont., and then, most recently, back to Park City this spring.

Edward is survived by his sons Ed, Gene and Jim Pouquette, his daughter Jolie Pouquette Church, as well as his six grandchildren, including Parkite Gavin Pouquette, and two great-grandchildren. His smile, kindness and quirky sense of humor is greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Edward is preceded in death by his father Emile Pouquette and his mother Julie Moulia Pouquette Moore, as well as by his former wife Barbara Gavin Pouquette.

His family says, "Thank you for the rainbow."
