Elmer George Stahle


Elmer George Stahle died at his home in Oreana, Idaho from a massive heart attack on Nov. 10, 2007. He was born near Park City, Utah on Oct. 13, 1920 to George J. Stahle and Bertha Hollenweger. He spent 60 years in Park City running the farm and working there and then bought a large ranch in Idaho where he spent the remainder of his life.

Elmer was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Western States, and later served in many callings in the church and community. Elmer worked hard during his life and had many cherished friends.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Frkovich, Oreana; daughter Georgene Thomas, Idaho City. His sisters: Carman McArthur, Mildred Asay, both of Lovell, Wyo.; Glenna Robertson, Wanship, Utah.; and Melba Sears, Salt Lake City, Utah. He has 5 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, brothers Ralph and Ivan; his wife, Verla; daughter Margene; son, Bryce, and granddaughter.

His funeral will be held in the Grand View LDS church on Nov. 16, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., internment will follow at the Oreana Cemetery.
