Enjoy an ‘eco-tini’
December 7, 2007
Doing something good for the environment has never gone down so smoothly. Next Wednesday people are welcome to stop by The Spur for an eco-tini and some eco-talk.
Park City Green Drinks will be hosting its second meeting Dec. 12 at The Spur Bar and Grill at 350½ Main Street. This worldwide organization provides a opportunity for environmentally-minded people to get together, socialize and enjoy a drink in a casual atmosphere. Anyone interested in the environment is welcome to attend Green Drinks. There will also be space to exchange business cards, brochures and other eco-material.
And this time there will actually be green drinks.
Additionally, The Spur will offer the eco-tini, a special drink made with 360 Vodka, a new sponsor of Park City Green Drinks. Marketed as a more environmentally friendly brand of vodka, 360 Vodka does numerous things that agree with the Green Drinks philosophy. For instance, cardboard in the outer shipping boxes and paper for labels, packaging and promotional materials are all 100 percent recycled. In addition, their distilling equipment uses less energy than traditional technology.
Green Drinks held its first meeting in November and about 40 people showed up. January’s meeting will be held the second Wednesday of the month at the Spotted Frog Bookstore in Kimball Junction.
