Bear Aware!

Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge and Utah Division of Wildlife Resources will give a bear presentation on Saturday, Aug 4, from 2-3:30 p.m. Topics include their biology, behaviors, populations and how to stay safe in bear country. A special kid-friendly presentation will be offered for children 4 and older. Pre-registration for the free event is requested. Location: 2155 W. Packing foam accepted by Recycle Utah

The white block packing foam, used to protect packaged electronics and other consumer goods, can be recycled at Recycle Utah. The packing foam recycling was implemented in December and has been very successful, said Lola Beatlebrox, outreach director of Recycle Utah. Not accepted are Styrofoam fast-food containers and meat trays from a grocery store. Recycle Utah is located at 1951 Woodbine Way in Park City. For more information, call 649-9698
