Jacquelyn Harris, a rower at the University of San Diego (USD) and a Park City native, was named second team all-region in the west by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) on Monday for the first time in her career. The awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers from each of the five Division I regions, organized into first and second-team selections. The senior was also a three-time All-Conference award winner for the Toreros. Harris was rewarded for her outstanding performances through out the season helping to defeat cross-town rival San Diego State (SDSU) at the city championships in the varsity four race. She helped contribute to a win over the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dirt Jump Bike Clinics
Park City Recreation is offering mountain bike dirt jump bike clinics are for all levels of riders looking to advance in the dirt jump park. Participants will be broken into groups based on ability. Team Sugar clinic
Team Sugar/White Pine Touring will hold the first of their "Ready for spring?" hands-on bike maintenance clinics for women on Wednesday, June 13 from 7-9 p.m. at White Pine Touring. The clinic include hands-on practice, free giveaways, refreshments, snacks and handouts. The cost is $25 per clinic. The evening will also include, a bike fit (bring your bike and shoes for a personal fitting from White Pine) and tips on where to ride. Team Sugar/White Pine Touring is a group of women mountain bike racers devoted to introducing as many women as possible to the sport as well as to promote the fun of competitive racing.
