Bike party

The Young Riders, Squatter’s Road House Grill, the National Off-Road Bicycle Association (NORBA) and Team Big Bear are throwing a community party at Squatter’s in Park City on Thursday, June 14 from 4-7 p.m. The event will kickoff the NORBA National bike races that will be held at Deer Valley over the weekend and proceeds will benefit the Young Riders. Professional teams from across the country will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures. There will also be some giveaways and prizes. Cost is $5 at the door, with a buffet included. Drinks are an additional cost.

The Utah Olympic Park is celebrating the opening of the 2007 summer season by designating June 9-15 as "Local’s Appreciation Week." All Utah residents are invited to visit the Park and receive 2-for-1 pricing on the Park’s attractions the 70 mph "Comet" Summer Bobsled, the Quicksilver Alpine Slide, and the Xtreme and Ultra Ziplines the World’s steepest Ziplines course. Additionally, the Utah Athletic Foundation is excited to announce a new pricing structure for visitors to the Utah Olympic Park. Effective immediately, the Utah Olympic Park will offer free admission to the facility, with activities priced individually. Visitors to the Utah Olympic Park will now have the opportunity to visit the 2002 Olympic Winter and Alf Engen Ski Museums free of charge, in addition to watching elite and aspiring Olympic athletes train throughout the Park on the Nordic jumps, freestyle pool and skeleton push track. The Utah Olympic Park continues to offer guided tours, The Flying Ace All-Stars Saturday Freestyle Shows and a variety of sport camps for all ages and abilities, for an additional fee. Roxy Bikini Pop Drop Axis Freeride has partnered with Roxy for the Bikini Pop Drop, an all-girls water ramp training camp open to the public at the Utah Olympic Park, June 27-29. The three-day camp, sponsored by Roxy and run by Axis Freeride, will allow participants to learn general air sense, refine their current skills and add some new moves to their repertoire. The camp is perfect for all ages and abilities, and all participants will be outfitted with a Roxy swimsuit. The camp includes entry into the Roxy Bikini Pop Drop Jam at the end of the three-day session, where participants can show off their new skills to friends, family and a panel of judges, with the opportunity to win Roxy gear. The camp staff is all-female as well. The camp will be held Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. 4 a.m. and Friday 9 a.m. 5:30 p.m. The Roxy Bikini Pop Drop Jam Competition will be held from 4 5:30 p.m. The cost is $250, which includes equipment, a Roxy bathing suit and lunches.
