The Park City Racquet Club is proud to present the next session of dog obedience classes. Classes are taught by certified local dog trainer Heather Hampsten on Tuesdays from Aug. 21 through Sept. 25. Puppy Preschool is at 6 p.m., Basic Obedience is at 7 p.m. and Intermediate Obedience wraps up the evenings at 8 p.m. All classes are held at the Park City Racquet Club. Fall baseball tryouts
Competitive baseball players from Summit and Wasatch counties wanting to develop their individual and team baseball skills through the Fall 2007 season are invited to try out for new 12-and-under team forming for the Fall 2007 Rocky Mountain Baseball season. The season runs from Aug. 25- Oct. 6. Games are played over a six-week schedule on Saturdays (doubleheaders). Tryouts are held on the little league field, adjacent to the Park City High School baseball field. Eleven players will be selected for the team. Practices will be held at least twice a week. King of the Mountain
The Jeep King of the Mountain 2007 Mountain Biking World Professional Championships will be held place Saturday, Aug. 4 at The Canyons from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. followed by a live concert by The Supersuckers and Bonepony at The Canyons Plaza. The event is free and open to the public, and will include world-class athletes battling head-to-head for the richest prize purse in the sport.
