Self-defense

Silver Mountain Sports Club is offering a free women’s self-defense class every Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. No membership or experience is required. It is sponsored by "GurlFytrz" (girlfighters ) a non-profit organization to create awareness and help stop abuse. Coaches needed The Park City competitive baseball program is looking for qualified coaches to help with all age groups (8-14 years old). They will be having a coach’s meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Park City High School cafeteria. All parents/coaches that want to be involved in the program are encouraged to come to the meeting. For any questions about the program, please call Buster at 608-0008 or Matt at 655-0999 ext. 14. Winter broadcast NBC Sports and the national governing bodies representing the sports of curling, luge, and bobsled and skeleton are once again partnering to broadcast a winter sports festival this season, entitled ICE 2005. The four-hour, two-day broadcast on the Olympic network will air Saturday, Dec. 10, and Sunday, Dec. 11, from 4-6 p.m. ET each day. ICE 2005 will likely feature 2002 Olympic medallists, including four-man bobsled Olympic silver medalist Todd Hays, silver medallists in doubles luge Mark Grimmette and Brian Martin, skeleton Olympic champion Tristan Gale, and the men’s and women’s curling teams that will be representing the U.S. at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games.
