Holiday Ice Extravaganza

The Figure Skating Club of Park City presents the second annual Holiday Extravaganza on Ice at the Park City Ice Arena on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 6:30-7:45 p.m. The evening will feature members of the club, Learn-to-Skate participants, the Ice Angelzz Synchronized Skating Team, and regional, sectional and national competitors from the Salt Lake area figure skating clubs. Celebrate the season with holiday music and figure skating entertainment. Admission is available at the door for a minimum donation of $5. For more information call 615-5704.

Christensen honored

The 2007 All-Midwest Conference (MWC) football teams were released Nov. 13 and Park City’s Wil Christensen, who attends Lake Forest College, was among the list. Christensen, a sophomore receiver was named a Second Team All-MWC selection on offense. Christensen caught a team-high 52 passes for 472 yards and a touchdown and led the league in receptions per game. The Lake Forest Foresters finished the season with an overall record of 5-5 and tied for fifth in the league standings with a conference mark of 5-4.

Hoops camp

Basin Recreation is offering a basketball camp for boys and girls grades 2-8. The camp will be held at Ecker Hill Middle School Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Friday Dec. 28 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. The cost of the camp is $50. The camp will be run by Barry Hecker, a former NBA, collegiate, and high school coach. His valuable knowledge and experience will provide fundamental knowledge of basketball and players will work on the basics of the game.
