The Goal Digger women’s hockey tournament will be held Friday, Dec. 7 through Sunday, Dec 9 at the Park City Ice Arena. Games will be held continuously on Friday from 6 p.m. to midnight and 7 a.m. – midnight on Saturday. The championship games will be held on Sunday from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Games will be held at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex in Salt Lake as well as the Park City rink. The Park City Predators are scheduled to play Saturday at 1:15 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday. Lacrosse coach wanted
Park City Lacrosse is looking for a girls junior varsity lacrosse coach. The lacrosse season runs from the end of January through the beginning of May and practices are held after-school in the early evening. Lacrosse is growing quickly in the state, and the program is looking for enthusiasm and a strong lacrosse background to help in the growth of Park City lacrosse players. New ski jumping team
The Women’s Ski Jumping USA Board of Directors has approved the establishment of the VISA Women’s Ski Jumping Team with veteran jumper Karla Keck as the director.The team will consist of U.S. Ski Team athletes as well as development athletes from around the country. The purpose of this expanded team is to provide competition and training opportunities to development level athletes from different regions throughout the U.S. Selection will be performance-based with athletes being nominated to the team by their regional coaches. Training camps, which will begin this summer, will also be an integral part of the program. Holiday Ice Extravaganza
The Figure Skating Club of Park City presents the second annual Holiday Extravaganza on Ice at the Park City Ice Arena on Thursday, Dec. 13 from 6:30-7:45 p.m. The evening will feature members of the club, Learn-to-Skate participants, the Ice Angelzz Synchronized Skating Team, and regional, sectional and national competitors from the Salt Lake area figure skating clubs. Celebrate the season with holiday music and figure skating entertainment. Admission is available at the door for a minimum donation of $5. For more information call 615-5704.
