Learn-to-Skate classes

The winter session of group ice skating lessons will begin Wednesday, Jan. 9 and Friday, Jan. 11 at Park City Ice Arena. Classes are offered for all ages and ability levels. Register before Jan. 8 for $84 to receive eight weeks of 30-minute classes, practice time each week, skate rental and a punch card for three additional public sessions. ‘Tis the Season to Recycle

The Park City Lacrosse Organization (PCLO) announces its annual holiday tree pick-up fundraiser. Lacrosse players and their parents pick up holiday trees in their trucks and haul it to local mulching areas. Pick-up dates including, Saturday, Dec. 29, Saturday, Jan. 5, or Saturday, Jan. 12. The cost is $15 payable to PCLO (a non-profit organization).

Alaska night

Trout Bum 2 will hold an Alaska night on Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. The night will feature Charlie Summerville from Alaska Adventures. He will showcase fishing opportunities his company provides on the Alagnak River in Southwest Alaska, and other information about 2008 Alaska destination trips in July and August.
