Learn to Curl clinics
The Park City Ice Arena will host two Learn-to-Curl clinics in July. The first will take place July 17 at 5:30 p.m. The second will be held on July 26 at 6:30 p.m. The cost of the clinic is $10. Participants will learn techniques of sweeping, stone delivery and scoring. This is a great opportunity for anyone to come out and learn the sport of curling. For more information call 615-5700.
The Park City High School girls’ tennis team will hold tryouts on Monday, July 21 from noon until 2 p.m. at Solamere/Oaks Swim and Tennis Club (2400 Solamere Drive). Anyone who wants to be on the team must attend the tryouts. For more information, contact Lori McMahon at 649-2154.
Fall Recreation Soccer is coming up fast. Boys and girls from preschool to ninth grade are invited to participate in the Basin Recreation fall outdoor recreational soccer program. Cost is $65 and the deadline is July 19. Space is not guaranteed after this date and the price will increase. Practice will start the week of Aug. 18. Ute conference football
Registration for the Park City Ute Conference Little League tackle football league are available online at http://www.pcminers.com or at parkcity.utefootball.com In-person registration will be held on Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to noon and Wednesday, July 30 from 9 a.m. to noon at Summit Self Storage, located at 2640 West Rasmussen Road. Boys and girls ages 8-14 are eligible to play. League fees are $225 if registering online, or $250 in person. Fees include full use of pads, pants, helmets for the season. Please bring a photocopy of the player’s birth certificate for registration. Practices begin July 26 and the regular season runs through October.
