The Park City Ice Arena will hold curling open houses on July 26 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and Aug. 12 from 5-6:45 p.m. for anyone interested in learning more about the sport. For more information, visit http://www.pcice.org.

Golf tryouts

Tryouts for the Park City High School girls’ soccer team will be held Aug. 4-6 at the Quinn’s Junction Sports Complex turf soccer field. There will be three high school teams freshman, junior varsity and varsity. For more information, call head coach Chip Cook 640-6884.

Ice rink construction update

The Quinn’s Junction Sports Complex, Park City Ice Arena and National Ability Center will temporarily have a new entrance while construction continues in the area. Beginning July 23, the Frontage Road off of S.R. 248 will close and a new entrance, west of the old road, will lead into the area. The new road will be located where the exit lane off of U.S. 40 merges into one lane on S. R. 248.


In the article "Wanted: A Few Good Bobsledders," it was inadvertently left out that Valerie Fleming and Shauna Rohbock won a silver medal in bobsledding together at the 2006 Winter Olympics Games in Turin, Italy. They also both reside in Park City.
