A rookie softball/baseball for 3- and 4-year-olds will be held at the Basin Recreation Field House.. The class is a basic introduction to softball for preschoolers. Sessions include warm-up and cool-down, skill drills, teamwork and coordination activities and mini-games. The class uses preschool-sized equipment, fun music and pre-school level drills that kids can practice at home. This is a non-competitive program and a pre-league experience. The class will meet on Saturdays from10 to11 a.m. for six sessions. The program will run from April 25 to – June 6 (no class May 23rd due to Memorial Day). The cost is $66.00, and includes T-shirt, water bottle and wrist band. Register at http://www.wasatchfamilyfitness.com/ or call (801) 581-9438. The Park City Golf Club will offer beginner clinics once a week for four consecutive weeks in May. Clinics will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and will cover the basics of short game and full swing. The cost is $100 per clinic and limited to 5-10 students. Staff will consist of one pro for up to six students and two pros for 7-10 students. Equipment will be provided but students are encouraged to have clubs. The first clinic will be held on Mondays in May and the second on Wednesdays. Sign up at the pro shop. The club will also be holding The Icebreaker 4-Man Scramble on April 26. Registration is 8:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. There will be a blind draw for teams.
Viva Las Vegas
Park City Ice Arena will begin rehearsals for all skaters interested in learning a routine for "Viva Las Vegas!", the Figure Skating Club of Park City’s Spring Ice Show. Rehearsals are April 28 and May 5, and 12. Performances are May 16 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Participations fees are $40. Silver Mountain Sports Club will kick off its summer aquatics program with an open house May 1 and 2 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Silver Mountain Sports Club’s Prospector Club. During this time those interested will be able to meet the program instructors and gain information on the upcoming summer programs, including group and private lessons. The Park City Racquet Club lap pool is set to open April 25.
