The Young Riders Bike Swap and Colby School/ Mountain Trails Foundation Cinco De Mayo 5K Fun Run have been postponed. The Fun Run will be held on May 16. The bike swap will be held May 16 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 17 from 11 to 3 p.m. Drop-ff will be held May 14 and 15 from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Yard. Men’s fly-fishing clinic
High Country Fly Fishers, the Park City Chapter of Trout Unlimited and Trout Bum II fly shop are holding a men’s fly-fishing clinic beginning on Wednesday night, May 6, at Saint Mary’s Church at 7:30 p.m. with a class room orientation. A casting clinic will be held at Deer Valley pond Thursday, May 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. and a half day of guided fishing on the Middle Provo River will follow on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. to noon. The clinic is free but bringing equipment is recommended. For those without their own equipment, rod, reel, waders and boots can be rented from Trout Bum for $40. The Park City Golf Club will hold the Icebreaker 4-Man Scramble on Sunday, May 3. Registration will begin at 8:45 a.m. with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m. There will be a special blind draw for teams. For more information, call 615-5800.

Golf Digest magazine recently released its rankings of the best golf courses in Utah. A number of local private courses were at the top, including Glenwild at No. 1, followed by Tuhaye at No.2 and Promontory at No. 3. The Gold course at Soldier Hollow, a public course, came in at No. 10.
The Park City High School Lady Miners’ softball team is holding a Cinco de Mayo dinner celebration on Tuesday, May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Zona Rosa restaurant on Main Street. All proceeds benefit the team. On Saturday, May 9, the team will hold a softball clinic from noon to 4 p.m. for youth in grades 1-9. The clinic will cover fundamental skills and drills. There will be two two-hour sessions. The cost is $35, which includes instruction and a T-shirt.
