Men’s Soccer fundraiser

The Park City Men’s Soccer Team will host an all-you-can-eat pizza fundraiser on Thursday, May 21, starting at 6 p.m. at Maxwell’s East Coast Eatery, 1456 New Park Blvd. The event will feature drawing prizes, music, dancing, pizza and a cash bar. All donations will benefit the Park City Men’s Soccer Team and go toward player scholarships, referee and tournament fees, uniforms and equipment. Everyone is invited. College recruiting seminar

Paul Putman, a recruiting expert with the National Collegiate Scouting Association, will give a presentation entitled "College recruiting simplified: What you need to do in order to get recruited," at Park City High School on Wednesday, May 20, at 6 p.m. in the Large Lecture Hall. Interested parents and students are welcome.

Memorial Day Fun Run

Basin Recreation will host a fun run/walk at Willow Creek Park, 4460 North Split Rail, on Memorial Day, May 25. The 5K will start at 9 a.m., the 1-mile (ages 12 and under) will start around 10 a.m. and the 100-yard (ages 6 and under) will start at around 11:30 a.m. All families, recreational runners and leashed pets are welcome. Registration is $15 per person or $40 per family. All proceeds from the event will go to the Basin Recreation Scholarship Fund, which allows youth in the area to participate in recreation programs. 5K for 5Kids walk/run

The Park City 5 Foundation will host a 5K walk/run Saturday, May 30, to honor the five former Park City High School students who passed away between February and October 2008. Check-in/registration begins at 8 a.m. at Park City High School; the race starts at 9 a.m. sharp. Registration is $20 in advance or $25 the day of the race. Sign up as an individual or on a team of four to six people. All proceeds and donations will be used to build a sister school in Riobamba, Ecuador, in memory of the Park City 5.
