Park City Recreation presents the fourth annual Recreation, Fitness and Health Community Fair on Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. on the grass field at the north end of City Park. Recreation, fitness and health professionals will offer information on local outdoor recreation, physical therapy, local bike rides and activities for the whole family and much more. Little league football
Registration for Park City District Ute Conference little league tackle football is now available online at http://www.utefootball.com or in person July 22 and July 29 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Summit Storage units, located at 2640 Rasmussen Road. Registration is open to all Park City School District boys and girls ages 8-14. The Park City Black Diamond U-14 girls soccer team is sponsoring their second annual 5K run, "Sprint for Soccer," on Saturday, June 10. Staggered starts get underway at 9 a.m., with on-site registration starting at 7:30 a.m. Registration and start/finish are located in the lower parking lot at Park City Mountain Resort. Categories for all ages and walkers will be available. Registration is $20 in advance, with a special rate of $30 for families. Same-day registration is $5 additional. The Park City Volleyball program will be hosting a camp for girls in grades 7-12 (2006-2007 school year) June 12-14 from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. at Park City High School. Summit County Attorney Margaret Olson has decried what she called a lenient sentence in a child sex abuse case in which a 20-year-old reportedly attempted to impregnate a 12-year-old. The perpetrator was sentenced to 20 days in jail and 10 years of probation.
