Giant dog sculpture sits outside Butcher’s
A giant Styrofoam sculpture of a dog that has occupied space outside Butcher’s Chop House and Bar will be removed in early April, a representative of the restaurant said.
Charles O’Brien, who is with Butcher’s, says the sculpture was created for an automotive commercial filmed locally. Butcher’s wanted to put the 8-foot-tall piece on display for the ski season, he says. It is supposed to be a Saint Bernard and staffers at Butcher’s have named it Angus, O’Brien says.
The sculpture will be returned to its Provo-based creator, according to O’Brien.
The Park City Planning Commission on Wednesday approved a City Hall workforce or otherwise restricted housing development slated for the northern reaches of Old Town.
