Although Nuffer would not detail any events, she did say Wallace "acted in the best interest of the children in the class. As far as we know, she’s had a perfect record in her 18 or 19 years."
Nuffer said she and the other members of the Jeremy Ranch PTO "support our principal, and would like to see her stay."
Nuffer said she was in e-mail contact with Van Gorder, who she said told her there was a due process that has to happen. "We hope to overturn that." She said she hopes to get at least four out of the six PTO board members to attend the March 20 district board meeting in support of Wallace. "We want to get more information," she said. "We want to get the board to review this decision and overturn it that would be our ultimate goal."
"I understand in the business world ‘policy is policy,’ but with 19 years of unblemished service with nothing in the past to warrant action I’d like to see a reprimand or warning but losing one’s job, that’s pretty dramatic."
