Jordan Thomas Reese

Jordan Thomas Reese, age 22, died on July 22, 2010, outside Reno, Nev., from injuries sustained in an accident as he was making his last ride to visit relatives before enrolling in college this fall. Jordan had spent the last two years traveling across the U.S. and Europe, with his backpack and his dog, Big Boy.

Jordan was born on July 16, 1988, in San Diego, Calif., to Martin Reese and Mary Frances Reese, both residents of Park City. He is survived by his parents; sisters, Jena Alger (33), Britt Reese (18) and Nicole Reese (15); his brother Ryan Reese (32) and many other extended family members, including grandparents Edward J Reese of Bend, Ore., Mary Margaret Reese of Park City, Francis Phillip Kieffer of Elma N.Y. and Maria B. Kieffer of Phoenix, Ariz.

A memorial service will be held at Rotary Park on Sunday Aug. 8, 2010, at 11 a.m. to celebrate Jordan’s adventurous life. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made to the Jordan Thomas Reese Foundation (Wells Fargo –Brian Ruziecki, 435-615-4485). Donations will be given to benefit victims of the violence in Darfur, a cause Jordan was most passionate about.
