Judges still needed

Summit County Clerk Sue Follett on Friday said she was still seeking about 20 people to serve as election judges.

However, she said she does not plan to consolidate polling places, a worry if not enough judges sign up.

She said training sessions are scheduled on Oct. 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the Richins Building and at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 at the Richins Building.

Class sizes are limited and potential judges must attend one of the two sessions. Afterward, they are required to attend another training session, Oct. 31 at 1:30 p.m. at the Richins Building.

They are paid $8 per hour for training and their assignment on Election Day.

For more information, call Follett. Her number on the West Side is 615-3203 and from the East Side it is 336-3203.
