Collins’ career has spanned more than 50 years. A classically trained pianist, Collins turned to folk singing and guitar after being inspired by Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger.
Known for her Grammy Award-winning rendition of Stephen Sondheim’s "Send in the Clowns" and Joni Mitchell’s "Both Sides Now," Collins kicked off her recording career with the 1961 debut "A Maid of Constant Sorrow." Her latest CD, "Bohemian," was released last November, a month after her autobiography, "Sweet Judy Blue Eyes: My Life in Music" hit the bookstores. Scott Iwasaki
