Kaplan seeks City Council spot
July 11, 2007
Michael Kaplan, known primarily as the onetime owner of a Main Street nightclub, filed papers Tuesday to seek a spot on the Park City Council.
He was not immediately available for comment.
In a previous campaign for the City Council, in 2001, Kaplan touted his business experience, education and worldliness.
In that unsuccessful bid, Kaplan campaigned on a platform that stressed bettering the relationship between City Hall and Main Street. That year, he said some of City Hall’s rules were onerous on business.
Kaplan is in his mid-40s and has lived in Park City for about a decade.
