Klingenstein named to planning commission
July 29, 2011
Chuck Klingenstein was appointed by the Summit County Council Wednesday night to fill Sibyl Bogardus’ unexpired term on the Snyderville Basin Planning Commission.
Having previously served on the Park City Planning Commission for five years in the early 1990’s and four years on the Park City Council, Klingenstein said he knows that being on the board involves more than simply showing up to the meetings.
In his interview with the county council, Klingenstein noted that he has been on both sides of the table, having worked as a planner and developer.
"I have worked on local unwanted land issues and am not afraid to have discussions and stand up for what I think is right," added Klingenstein.
Bogardus resigned in early July due to scheduling conflicts. Her term expires in Feb., 2012. Klingenstein joins newly appointed commissioner Bruce Taylor who was appointed to the planning commission in early July to fill Flint Decker’s unexpired term.
"I am very excited to be on the planning commission and look forward to the host of challenges and opportunities," said Klingenstein. "I think I can help make the Snyderville Basin a better place."
