Large turnout for ‘green’ trade show

Editor:

The turnout of the community more than 700 people at the first annual Green Building Consumer Trade Show on November 8th was a very visible demonstration of our community’s commitment to learning about more sustainable lifestyles.

The Recycle Utah Board of Trustees would like to thank The Canyons for hosting the event, Laurie Nadeau and Karin Tritt Ross for their tireless work organizing the event, and Tom Ward, Sharon Woodbury and the entire Environmental Issues Committee of the Park City Board of Realtors for sponsoring the event.

Finally, thank you to our members and donors for their support of our mission: "To Empower People to Lead Sustainable Lives. "

Excellence sparkles at Jeremy Elementary

Editor:

In this world of ups and downs, there exists in our community a bright sparkle of excellence. I refer to the well-staffed professional teachers at Jeremy Elementary School..

As a volunteer tutor of reading for the past four years and now a teacher’s aide, I have seen the spirit of friendliness and cooperation within the staff. There is an expression of willingness to do whatever it takes to teach each and every student in a meaningful and professional manner. This happy atmosphere leads to happy students and success in learning.
