What a great idea to close the Swede Alley liquor store! It will reinforce the idea among out-of-state skiers that Utah is a dry state. Just think what this will do in the long term for sales and income-tax collection. We will have lower budgets, which will be an excuse to close more liquor stores, have 36 in the classroom and maybe even bust the education union.
These businesses are the real treasure
Last week, during parent/teacher conferences at Treasure Mountain International School, the TMIS Leadership class hosted a silent auction. Thanks to generous donations from Strong Porsche, Olive & Cocoa, Butchers, Szechwan Chinese Kitchen, Squatters, and Good Karma, students raised money to support activities and scholarship opportunities.
These local businesses are the real treasures in our town.
