Lorenzo’s open in Holiday Village

Mexican eatery specializes in seafood

The old Atlantic Pizza location in Holiday Village is now Lorenzo’s, a moderately-priced Mexican restaurant run by the Gutierrez family.

It opened Jan. 11 and has a comprehensive menu featuring cuisine from all over Mexico including an extensive seafood menu featuring several varieties of shrimp and tilapia dishes.

Marissa Gutierrez said they are distinguishing Lorenzo’s from the other moderately-priced Mexican restaurants in town by offering food not found at the others.

For example, the "Authentic" Mexican Quesadilla was a huge hit during Sundance earning them repeat customers, she said.

It’s hard to get seafood at a Mexican eatery, she said, let alone Mexican seafood. The staff comes from all over the country and the menu is designed to appeal to all kinds of people, she said. One person even worked at an Acapulco resort and advised them of what dishes are tourist favorites.

Lorenzo’s also serves shrimp cocktails and is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. It plans to soon offer weekend specials typical of Mexican cuisine. The address is 1776 Park Avenue No. 8 and can be contacted at 435-649-7494.
