Man found in girl’s bedroom
May 12, 2009
A 24-year-old man found in the bedroom of a 14-year-old girl in the North Summit area won’t face criminal charges, the authorities said.
"The 14-year-old located this man on the Internet and invited him to her house," Bridge said. "The man was unaware of the girl’s age and when approached by the parents of this female he was explained that the girl was an underage juvenile and he was escorted out of the house."
The juvenile was not assaulted, Bridge said.
"It was all without incident," he said about the case that occurred April 27 at about 1:15 a.m.
The girl concealed her age on the Internet, Bridge said.
"The stories matched and [the man] was very apologetic and very embarrassed," Bridge said.

Bridge said he doesn’t know where the man lives.
"The investigation prompted us to look into any other crimes that might have taken place," he said. "What we started looking into is, had there been any sexual activity?"
The Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the parents when the man was found inside the home, Bridge said.
"We don’t know how he got into the house," Bridge said, adding that he doesn’t know if the pair had a prior relationship. "We’re assuming that the girl let him in, we don’t know if it was through a bedroom window, the door or anything like that."
