Deputies are searching for a man described to be in his mid-30s with a shaved head and rotting teeth, Summit County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Sherm Farnsworth said.

On Aug. 15, the suspect allegedly approached a woman’s car with a gun while she was parked near Interstate 80 and Echo Canyon in North Summit, he added.

The Pleasant grove woman had stopped near the Wahsatch exit around 6:50 p.m. when the suspect pulled up next to her, Farnsworth said, adding, "she had actually pulled down off I-80 when this guy came and pulled up next to her."

"The man brandished the pistol and left his vehicle," Farnsworth said. At which time the woman drove off, he added.

The 19-year-old claims the man, who was described as clean shaven and overweight quit following her after he tracked her in his car onto westbound Interstate 80, Farnsworth said, adding that she drove to a relative’s home in Coalville.

The suspect was driving a blue, 1990s-era sedan with Wyoming license plates, he said.

"It’s an open investigation," Farnsworth said, adding that anyone with information about the case should contact the Sheriff’s Office at (435) 336-3500.
