Marketplace: Specialty center offers treatments
The Mountain Medical Vein Center is a facility for both medical and cosmetic conditions.
Specializing in the treatment of varicose veins and pain management, the Vein Center’s experienced staff has worked in the field for years.
Physicians Assistant Sheri Rosenblatt has 13 years medical experience, and specializes in sclerotherapy.
Doug Greally, M.D., is a fellowship trained physician from New York University and served on the faculty at the University of California, Los Angeles before Mountain Medical approached him about opening a Vein Center in Park City.
Greally said he wanted to be a part of Mountain Medical because of its location in Park City for his family, and because there is a strong market in the athletic community for Mountain Medical’s services.
As a fellowship-trained interventional radiologist, Greally is experienced in modern, state of the art treatment of varicose veins.
A condition that can lead to ulcers or venous disease, nearly 25 percent of all women suffer from varicose veins at some point in lives and the condition can cause symptoms like leg pain and cramping.
Formerly, treatment of the condition required a hospital stay, anesthesia and a six-week long recovery with high risk and high costs.
The Vein Center utilizes a modern, minimally invasive laser technology treatment for the condition, and the treatment is most often covered by insurance, making it a low risk, low cost option, Greally explained.
In addition to treating varicose veins, the Vein Center also specializes in interventional pain management, specifically for back and neck pain, or other pains associated with spinal injuries or diseases.
Using quick and minimally invasive outpatient procedures, the Vein Center can help alleviate pains and help to postpone or even avoid major surgeries, Greally said.
Lastly, the office does perform a number of clinical and aesthetic treatments.
The Vein Center’s physicians offer services like Botox and Dysport, and a variety of skin treatments to help reduce the effects of aging, as well as offering a range of medical-grade cosmetic products.
Board-certified physicians in private, comfortable offices supervise all of the procedures and services performed at the Mountain Medical Vein Center, said Greally, adding.
"We want people to feel safe and comfortable when they’re coming here."
The office opened June 1, and despite being new in the Park City area, the Mountain Medical Vein Center is keeping busy with consultations and procedures, he noted.
Greally explained that the mission of the practice is simple.
"We want to provide the highest quality, state of the art care for Summit County, and give that care in the most comfortable environment."
